Gerety Comprehensive Orthodontic Programs are committed to incorporating the most current and enhanced orthodontic concepts as we teach the General Dentist to master orthodontics and to successfully integrate it into their general practice.  Our course is taught in Dallas, TX utilizing the same core principles and techniques created, perfected and documented for over 35 years by Big Bob himself.  Maintaining the same high standards, today’s Gerety team lead by Kay Gerety,  continue to present Big Bob’s curriculum while adding their innovations, new cases and mechanics, updating materials and products and promoting cutting edge techniques and technology in the classroom.  For more than 40 years, Gerety Orthodontic Seminars has paved the way, providing general and pediatric dentists a comprehensive orthodontic program, teaching predictable and proven mechanics for treating patients through a non-extraction method. We have continued to build on those fundamentals, incorporating earlier, early treatment protocol to diagnose and treat airway issues, realizing that nasal breathing, appropriate tongue posture, and relaxed facial musculature during rest and function is critical for letting our patients reach their maximum genetic potential. This course will show you innovative solutions that will make orthodontics fun, easy, rewarding, and profitable.  The addition of orthodontics to your practice not only increases your profitability, but also adds a new and challenging dimension of service to your patients and practice. This course is ideally structured for the general or pediatric dentist with no orthodontic training other than dental school. Just as you have learned a technique for every other aspect of dentistry, Dr. Gerety’s method of teaching orthodontics will also provide you with a predictable technique. Each session builds on information, presented in the same sequence you will encounter in treatment delivery. When you have completed this course, you will have the knowledge, skill, and confidence to treat 80% of the malocclusions that come into your office. 

This comprehensive, five-session (100-hour) seminar series will focus on the fundamentals of orthodontics and is designed exactly as you would treat a patient, from diagnosis and treatment planning, to case finishing mechanics. Upon completion of the course participants will be able to:

• Select the appropriate cases to treat

• Diagnose cases

• Plan patient treatments

• Treat patients using the Straight-Wire philosophy

• Evaluate case progressions

• Use the latest orthodontic treatment options

• Finish cases effectively

The lecture will include both didactic and hands-on instruction with typodonts to facilitate your understanding of our curriculum. Each and every procedure is supported with a detailed slide sequence, patient cases demonstrating the technique, and a video demonstration of each of the 15 clinical projects.  A very popular addition has been our hands-on photography module, enabling each student to produce a complete set of images that meet the standard of care guidelines. Participants will receive individual assistance in completing the hands-on projects during each session.
