Kyle D. McCrea DDS
McCrea has practiced in the greater Houston area since 1990 and in Richmond since 1994. Dr. McCrea is a graduate of Texas A&M University and the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Dental School. He received further training through the General Practice Residency Program at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. In 2007 Dr. McCrea completed the Academy’s 12 Session Comprehensive Hands-On Course and in 2008, he attended Dr. Austin’s Tip-Edge Mini Residency in Tishomingo, Oklahoma. He has been mentored by Doctors and AGpO instructors, Ron Austin, Jeffery Gerhardt, and Robert Allen.
In 2013 he became an assistant clinical instructor to Dr. Robert Allen in Rockwall and in 2015 he started to share in providing the didactic lectures. He received his Diplomate from the Academy of GP Orthodontics, the Academy’s highest distinction at the Annual Session in 2016.
He has actively served on the Academy’s Board of Directors from 2008 to present, having served as an officer for several of those years and in 2013 he served as the Academy’s President.
Additionally Dr. McCrea is a Clinical Associate Professor at University of Texas School Of Dentistry in Houston teaching in the AEGD and the GPR programs. In 2013 he became part of the Memorial Herman Hospital Staff to supervise residents providing dental treatment in the operating room.
Dr. McCrea is a member of the ADA, is a fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry, The Texas Dental Association, the Greater Houston Dental Association, and the Academy of the General Practice Orthodontics.
